I heard rumors Sears is going to make a bid for Amazon with large investment from Warren Buffet. Eddie Lampert to become CEO of the combined company and Bezos will be head of the retail division. Future is looking bright, guys!

Even if Eddie or anyone else for that matter managed to buy a substantial share of Amazon stock, it's hardly unlikely for that person or entity for that matter, to gain control of the company without approval from the board of directors and the shareholders. He or she would also have to be voted in to obtain a seat on the board.
Bill Ackman's recently failure with ADP comes to mind.

Hell would have frozen over a billion times before there would be even a .000000001% chance that SHLD would have the wherwithal to acquire Amazon.
Even if SHLD did have the capital to do so, AMZN share holders and Bezos would have a really great laugh. They would be falling over themselves, rolling on the floor.
If this is an attempt to pump SHLD, it's a really sad, pathetic attempt. We all know that a merger or acquisition of AMZN will never happen.
Usually when companies are in distressed, the stock pumpers float stupid rumors that Amazon is buying them. This is a new, even stupider variation.
