Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Who liquidates Sears stores?

Some of the big firms are Hilco Global, Gordon Brothers, Tiger Capital, and Great American Group. Does anyone know if it's one of those or someone else?

Abacus Advisers is where our 'liquidation consultant' was from in 2012.

I know Great American Group doesn't do SHC stores... They use their name on all the fixture sales material, and have been busy with Macy's stores.

SHC has used Gordon Brothers in the past, but I believe the main company is Abacus Advisers presently. When the company does eventually go out of business, don't be surprised if multiple liquidation companies are brought in.

Ok, so Tiger at least. For big companies, it's often a consortium of more than one. Does anyone know of another, or can anyone corroborate Tiger?

Tiger is out visiting stores right now. They had a guy in ours taking pictures and asking all kinds of questions. Looks like we're closing.

¯_(ツ)_/¯
