Reset Time

After the showing at the broadcast, the Board needs to start looking to replace these people. Along with that, take the top four from each business segment, and the top four from each plant and fire them. The Board really needs to look at pursuing an investigation into the last 10 years or so of the executives. Maybe if enough employees contact their congress people and state AG offices they will be forced to look into it. One thought is that Immelt pulled a lot of his sh-- while being in an appointed government position, Job Czar, that adds a whole new realm to his actions.

Yes, Every employee , ex employee or even an investor should contact their congress people and ask them to look into GE fabrications of financial numbers and marketing material. Jeff should face the America and be held responsible.

I would like to know if GE has published anywhere the tax savings they claim along with the moving expenses plus capital investment costs with the Boston move. This move was made when the cash crunch was looming. Yet, GE had to pay for executive moving espenses, leases on temporary buildings, architectural and design costs for a new corporate headquarters (which Flannery halted construction on - smart and necessary move). new office equipment and installation. If they needed to save money and utilize available space, how about renovating their buildings in Lynn, MA. At least the corporate execs would be closer to some of their actual products.

The actions and inactions of the Board of Directors needs but probably will not get the scrutiny it sorely needs. I have seen it as nothing more than a rubber stamp organization that meets to declare a dividend and have a shareholder meeting. Where was the BOD when the company nearly tanked in the 2008-09 crash? Why did they let the Alsthom happen? Why did they allow huge stock buybacks and not maintain pension funding? Why did they approve a money wasting move to Boston? Watchdogs for the shareholders they certainly are not.
