MD and her relatives in VDSI are violating code of conduct.... new transformation for 2018... they keep violating code of conduct and HR stays dumb....

2 days ago, I was having lunch with my friends in otp canteen. In the next table, there were 4 delivery heads and MD favourite was also there. One lady DH and MD favourite are talking about some SDH interview with US. They were joking that they were all asked the same questions. It seems they all know the questions before itself since they had interview on 2nd day and they got the questions 1st day from other people. For a senior architect interview 6 months before, I was asked a lot of nonsense questions like do I know soa, design patterns which I will not use in the project at all. But for SDH interview, they share question paper the day before and then use the same question paper the next day too. If any of them become sdh, now we know how the HR process works. HR will say they followed process (many candidates, diversity, US interview etc) but this is the truth. If India management decides to promote someone, they will setup the system to make it happen. They talk of transparency and trust but don't follow any of these.
OTP 5th floor winnie-the-Jack-up thinks she became SPM because of her IQ, reality is she was promoted because of some stupid rule to promote diversity, female managers vs male ratio was low that time, to bump up the number, she was considered - just a quota filling game. Good for her, but doesn't mean others are fools.

Jan second week I just got my job in blore due to my technical skills. Do you have the guts to say you will get Senior manger role in another company - if at all you are sacked? remember What goes around comes around. How long people will back you up for the only skill that you posses (English speaking skill???) Tom, D--k Hari can manage with just average communication skill, remember - it is skilled people like me who actually work to the core, you guys takes credit for s---ing work from us. You forgot one thing that if skilled people can be sacked overnight why not lazy managers like you? ur fav boss VS is no longer with VZ to back you up. Establish your mallu network as usual - coz thats the only option left now, someone else may be from IBM- will prepare a new list soon and show you to get ready just the way you teased me.
She got all her insider info from another Mallu Sr. executive who is the right hand (assistant) of Vz MD. she now has some important email communication from MD of "VZ account IBM" - she is showing it to the whole floor - VJ most influential lady in VZ !!!. Unfortunately I do not have any info on that as I'm in blore right now. Essence of the mail is that IBM is in final rounds of talk in taking over part of VDSI. This trimming is just part of selling the org.
What ever was discussed in Hablis secret meeting the day before the mass layoff, She told my team line by line same day around 10:30 pm - that too she was not part of the meeting at all. Man what an amazing talent she has. Latest update from her is that people who were on vacation but listed in sacked emp list will be put on to PIP program and this time no compensation at all. By the way who's side are you? management or the employee?
Good that I got my comp sal + another job offer. Thought of alerting others. Honestly we need such person to share insider information. Long live winnie-the-Jack-up. Expecting more information from u.

Vdsi (Verizon India) has hit rock bottom today....by having appointed a mediocre as head of HR...the standards Has fallen so low...it’s a shame that the standards has fallen to an all time time. The senior management was already operating at a low level now this proves that all is merely a game to trick employees at lower bands. HR is a literally joke in this organization....

I am sure it is not a decision from India leaders. It occurs across verizon. Instead of talking ill about people, see what is next. I dont think any one want to do this activity to achieve some goal in their life. Even the dirtiest person in the world dont want to do it.

I have seen in this company only people operate in gangs. Most of the time goes pulling each other . Offshore vs Onshore , management vs employees ,competent vs less competent employees, etc .The company has become directionless and thus competitors in this business are much ahead of the game.
My sincere thanks to myself.. I left this company months ago.. vdsi changed it's strategic planning every year.. that itself shows the path of an org like vdsi, vz.
These guys were planned to serve millennials. How can you achieve this vision with no visionary though the thought is so nice. See how much satisfied your employees in their work. Are they really having any competent work?

Labour officers took bribes and fled. Shame on government and machinery. They too don't care about people.
Deliver heads who were terminated given one week notice period and knew it before the process. You could see them in office. Others were give only minutes. Double standards. Are only DHs humans?
It clearly shows how immature the leadership team are: all the employees need is the minimal respect. Firing in front of collegues and vendors is completely not acceptable and you made them to feel as if they made crime. In few places all this firing incident happened in glass room. Last part is the employees were not even allowed to say bye to their friends and Colleagues forcefully escorted by some bouncers.
A former verizon employee here.
I think that I wasted my years at verizon. I don't blame people or management. The kind of work and skills you gain at verizon is useless outside. It is very hard to find a job outside for most people unless you took time to update yourself instead of sitting on on site calls and status update call.
This layoff is the best thing to happen to the folks who have been let go, I say this cause I think most people are competent. If they stayed longer, they would be digging their own grave. Only really incompetent folks may find it hard to find a job. Imagine if you had some money in bank and you could focus on job search and have no notice period. Possibilities.
It is a wake up call for the rest.

I also got laid off but found a job this week itself. I am already interviewing with companies and in one place negotiating salary. Don't waste your time here, its of no use. Instead use time wisely and find a job. If you hv right skills there are plenty of jobs out there. Don't sit and complain or waste time. Use the money as a bonus!! All the best.
My husband has been with Verizon for almost 14 years. He is from a prime college in TN and had worked previously in CTS (from campus) with total 20 years experience on hand.
But right now he has absolutely no confidence in landing another job in IT, as Verizon has done nothing to groom its senior employees. Buzz words like CMMI, PMP, ITIL, Prince 2 have little value in this organization which doesn't follow any of these in principle and practice.
Many say that the severance package is good and the employee can run his household for the next 1.5 years with that (to be honest this is true). However whether he can get another job in this market situation is the big question.
So kindly do not have attachment to any organization like us old fools. Keep jumping from one to another, with zero loyalty to any. That is the only way to survive.
We shouldn't forget the damn HRteam in vdsi.
All they do is book star hotels & party themselves , in the name of meetings. Never heard about any good thing done by them.

None of the managers/spm/DH are not fit their jobs. They are chatting Verizon company. Due to that good people's got lay off. I don't understand one thing, US employee's average experience more than 15 years. But Vdsi is not same. I don't understand f* band rationalization (can any DH explain this scenario, a person doing the production support, irrespective of band what f expecting band rationalization,we worked 247 support, worked holidays as well.our objectives was high availability of business, we did our full efforts to maintain this), who ever did Jing Jung of managers/management, they are safe. For long term it won't work guys. At least here after you have to follow some good approach to save the rest of my folks.
