It won't make any difference.

What the union did for me:

It allowed me to work 20 years and force management to respect you. I worked 20 years in a call center and after years of anxiety and decreasing mental health I left with my lump Doe401k and my pension. If you can join a union, please do.

A union for revenge? Sounds like the good people on this site got riffed for no good reason ,unless you are just better than they are..it's more like protection ...not revenge. Auto industry. ? Ford never took a bailout ..they are UNION sounds like mismanagement in the auto industry to me ..kind of like vz..charity?? Why yes i think it is a chrarity someone in this company makes over 20 million$$ a year to fire people and float rumors about buying disney ..fox...or whatever else when the stock hits $43 so he can make his bonus..lowell thinks its the lowell chatity for lowell.

Join a union to spite Verizon? Seriously? Are we back in middle school now and trying to get back at someone who did us wrong? I guess there are those who have never grown up, I mean their body did but they are so stuck in their childlike mentality like Uncle Rico on Napoleon Dynamite. If that is the type of people that are attracted by the union, no wonder the union has such a bad reputation for losers.

Great! I don’t like the unions generally but I dislike Verizon even more. Please unionize and stick it to Verizon.

Don't count on the union saving you guys. It is just too darned easy for the company to find a way to thwart any effort. Listen, if you aren't bringing in the business, then why should Verizon keep the store? Geez, this isn't a charity.

I am a former Vzw retail union member they will shut your store down and place you in a non union store. Get up and go to work everyday and do your job the best you can

While I am for the Unions hiring private investigators to catch someone commit sabotage to a public utility isn't something I consider a bad thing. Those idiots should have gotten arrested. Verizon was in the right in 2011 the union should have gotten their house in order before going to battle and they paid for it

If you’re organizing in retail keep it close to your chest and do not post details here. Verizon will shutter your store if they find out too soon, especially in right to work states (which is all of the southeast and most of the mid-west). Lowell hates unions. He broke the 2011 strike in 13 days by hiring an army of private investigators to follow striking OSP and wireless members and catch them sabotaging the landline and wireless networks. He presented the evidence to union leaders and threatened to press charges. The union took his terms and folks were back to work the following Monday. Verizon will go to great lengths to keep out the Unions so watch your backs. Good Luck!!!
