No stairs in store and escalators don’t work. How are people supposed to shop at the busiest time of year if they can’t even get from 1st floor to 2nd floor without having to go into mall. Fix your stuff Sears and get with it.

Hey Qk0eHDb-ubg who thinks I’m stupid for posting this. There was caution barracades blocking the stalled escalators from even being used as stairs or else I would have walked up or down them. Maybe you should visit the store to check yourself before making your comments.
When we were on 2 floors, our escalator broke all the time and the elevator went out a lot at the same time too. Customers would get trapped on the 2nd floor all the time and it would depend who was on whether they would be allowed to come down the stalled escalator or if they would have to leave out into the mall Even Though They Had Merchandise They Wanted To Pay for On the 2nd Floor.
Another example of Sears jumping over a dollar to save a dime.
To the original poster, last time I checked, a non-moving escalator is very similar to stairs. Dumbest post ever.
@Qk0eHDb-sam- Sears has eliminated QMT positions and the others that are left are leaving. My job was eliminated March 2016 after 38 years too the month and the other QMT that was left that I worked with for 23 years retired after i got him a job working with the company I work for now. WE are both happy and stress free now.
Where are the QMT's?......If something goes out in our store, the district QMT is called and he fixes the issue.....If an elevator or escalator malfunctions, the repair service is called and is on site within a day in our store.......I wonder if that store gets visits from District or Corporate?......Our store goes into panic mode whenever a visit is announced and everyone runs around cleaning and fixing before the visit.
@kya That's kind of scary. Their escalators and elevators are registered with the State of NJ ( http://www.state.nj.us/dca/divisions/codes/publications/pdf_elevator/registered_elev_devices.pdf page 1196). IDK how much they'd care outside of the standard inspection cycles, but maybe try contacting the Elevator Safety Unit to complain about the unsafe conditions there? http://www.state.nj.us/dca/divisions/codes/offices/elevatorsafety.html
Store manager must be the biggest dipshit in all of Sears Holdings.
This location clearanced out the entire Showcase at Sears department in the early summer. It is now filled with Simply Styled. The Showcase at Sears signage was left up. Finally, after 20 years, Sears gets real designer clothes. Drops them like a hot cake after not even six months, and leaves the old signs up. Pathetic.
The Sears signs on the outside of the building are flickering and/or burnt out. Pathetic.
The lights in front of the outside entrances are burnt out. Pathetic.
Entire racks of jackets have no tags on them adjacent to the tool department. What does the ancient cashier in tools say to my wife, when she asks how much the jacket is? Go to men's apparel in front of the store, where they can give you the price. No customer EVER wants to hear that. When challenged on how ridiculous this is, the ancient cashier says, "It's not my department." Pathetic.
Garbage and trash piled up in two of the outside entrance vestibules. Pathetic.
Kid throws a full 32 ounce cup of soda with ice down the escalator that wasn't working. I tell the associate at the register 15 feet away that it should be cleaned up so no one slips and falls on the broken escalator. His response was "That has nothing to do with me." Pathetic.
Two of the three elevators don't work right. One of the appliance associates had to push the door open from the inside today.
