Ive been with cbi for two years in March, and everyone talks about how things have changed over the years. I have only witnessed 'keep your head down and do your work' so I cant imagine it being anything else. Are there any employees out there who have been with cbi long enough to remember? Give us some insight about how things were before.

It was great. We always had projects to charge to and our sales guys kept winning billion dollar projects. Making money was secondary.
Cbi once gave a damn. Employees felt appreciated. I cant think of one today who doesnt feel theyre simply a pencil-pusher with no value.
Need to go back before Lummus. When CB&I used to make money and managers wasn't trying to cut corners so that the executives could make their bonus. Before Lummus when CB&I cared about the quality of work they did. Before Lummus when CB&I could execute a project.
Everyone wants to blame Shaw but I am telling you the downfall started with Lummus and CMS.
You know..."before"..."yesteryear"... "back in the day"..."when I was a kid"..."once upon a time"..."long ago in a land far, far away"...whenever existed this mythical land of Eden before the temptation by Shaw led to the downfall of CB&I. Reminisce. Wax longingly of a better time when politicians were honest, a dollar was worth a dollar, and children respected their elders. Give yourself away.
Before Who or before what?
