I don’t want to complain because support diversity but it seems like there is a disproportionate number of Indians compared to the demographic composition of the general population of the United States or even just California. If we are to support diversity this may st be for all demographics. Are these numbers published? Does the chief diversity person have a plan to ensure equality and equity for all?
You are completely wrong, there are many people from different countries who can do a similar o better job than people from Vietnam, the issue at QC is they only promote themselves and management allow this to happen. This is called unfair practices and is ilegal.
I'm not going to try guessing why most rework techs are from Vietnam, I'll say based on personal experience over many years at Q is that they do a fantastic job. I'm impressed about their ability to place 0201 parts and rework very small pitch BGAs, doing a clean and neat job.
What counts is the person's skills, the country of origin is irrelevant.
But at least we should have some law to boost work place diversity!
HR is mostly white women. Everything outside of engineering is mostly white. Everyone under SM is white.

There are few, if any, laws regarding nepotism. There's nothing they can do if all the workers are legally allowed to work in US.
Under Obama, Q has been protected; contact Department of Labor to let them know about this; anyhow Broadcom is not sponsoring green cards from what I heard; so Broadcom may clean up this mess.
