I’m dreading it!
The constant sign changes is mind boggling and painful 😩
I heard Wednesday there is a morning and afternoon ad? Ugh...is that true?
The hours are brutal Thursday & Friday- is everyone happy with your shift ?
But the one thing I do enjoy are the people I work with and I hope we all bring some humor into the mix
I remember a couple of years ago when our local news station did a piece about stores opening early on thanksgiving in our mall which has a target sears and jcpenney as anchor stores. The piece showed long lines of people at Target and jcpenney. They also showed the sears store with 10 people in line and interviewed an elderly couple waiting for a deal on a washer set. These people said they chose sears to shop at because they knew the line wouldn't be long. I remember thinking at the time what a failure it was for sears.
I am fortunate and grateful that I have an awesome manager. Was very surprised to see that I actually have off on Thanksgiving. Looked at the posted schedule and it looks like the other hard workers are also off. She scheduled the lazier members in the team on Thanksgiving. ;) (I assume us lucky ones - most of which are MCAs who handle the ad every week - will get the ad to deal with Wed., but at least it will kill time.)
I'm stuck closing Thanksgiving then back Friday morning to open with my ONE coworker (who may or may not show up) until 9 am. Can't wait...
