Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Future of HAH????

Is HAH no longer available for next year? Are we all just going to be laid off in the end? Any info would be appreciated. This waiting game is killing me.

There is no program to fix, they are revamping it to meet market demand

They did not want to "fix" the program. The executives cashed out on their stock and ran. They already knew this was going down.

That is so very true. I have been here nearly a decade too. I have always worked over 40 hours a week, never asked to leave early, always on time, etc...I too was let go in this round. I have been trying feverishly to get hired into a new position here and I now wonder why I am trying so hard if they didn't want me in the first place. I have worked in a lot of other health care companies in salary positions, and I can tell you, with all of them I have always been required to work over 40 hours in a week. I know it is still this way, as I have many other nurse friends that work well over 40 hours and work all over my city. I have never been treated well in any other company, so I really didn't expect it here either, so I wasn't too disappointed when it happened. I am just sorry the work at home perk will be over.

Who would want to stay with a company like Humana? After nearly 10 years and countless hours over 40 per week they threw me away like so much garbage. Leadership brought in a fixer that destroyed the program. Corporate failed to plan effectively for the future if the Aetna merger failed. Broussard and other executives got their obscene increases. Those left get their ‘bonus’ what would be their planned salary increase for 2016. 2018 salary planning will be based on 2016 salary and will not include the’ bonus’. As always the top dogs come out smelling like roses.

Hmmm. Civility. You should probably look up the definition of that word. You may want to look up condescending while you're at it too.

Bless you for your comment, QlkKVcV-ven! I felt sure that the same hateful person would rear his/her ugly head yet again in a diatribe against people who raise this topic.

In years past a lot of plans will show an end date of 12/31. Especially If there are any changes to next years plan. HAH isn't going anywhere. They are still advertising it on tv.

It has to do with open enrollment, and their new plan starting 1/1....after 1/1 it will go back to the 9999 date

This seems relevant to initial question, so I will ask. I have been here multiple years and never before have noticed so many members with a plan end date of 12/31. They start a new plan part of a mass move, still with Humana in January. Do these members term with HAH? Will they be on the RDR due to plan end date, even though they have a 2018 plan with Humana?

Previous years, most members had a plan end date of 12/31/9999. They stayed on rosters into the next year. This year, the vast majority by far have a plan end date of 12/31/2017.

The system will direct us to term them as in previous years, will it not? I will have a handful of people to call if that occurs.

Our coach does not know.

Someone is going to all caps yell at you in 3...2...1 for asking a question.

There will still be HAH, maybe some big changes, maybe some more layoffs, but no confirmed info about HAH folding.

See how that’s done, all caps screamy sanctimonious keyboard warriors? Civility.
