I find it retarded my coworker opened and she was pissed because their was a set up. I came to close and basically focused on the supposed doorbuster. I find it overall stupid especially still hand writing signs.
Wasn't bad, not like the frustration it was last year late in the evening, which was such a mess. (I swear that one was Thanksgiving evening though, not Eve...) Though I didn't have a split shift like a co-worker, so maybe she had additional ones to add later to those I put up. (?)
If there are all new hand written signs for next Sunday however... Well, I guess I know what will keep me busy and kill time... Tell you what though, the prices better not be the same as these past week if we're hing to replace all those with a new "theme."
The doorbuster signs gave me one laugh though - The $9.99 girls jeans. Were on sale for $4.99. The so-called "doorbuster" price I put up today is $8.99. LOL Wtf Sears...
I know Sunday there were problems with the signs expiring even before the start date

Thank god next year won't happen. No signs to post except liquidation ones. I can't wait for this train wreck off a company to finally be done.

This signing is really getting out of hand. After all the Black Friday signs up and down , We 99then have to put up the huge holiday blast or whatever the hell it's called on Sunday night for Monday. I'm so glad this is the last year!
Yes there is. We are doing a split shift in our Sears store. We will go in at 7 to 11 tomorrow morning (Wednesday) to set the 22nd sale. We will come back at 5:00 to set up the 23rd (Thursday). The signing has been such a mess we don't want to risk missing signs. The signs for the 22nd ad were loaded and deleted twice in the system yesterday (Monday). I printed the 22nd ad signs twice and had to throw out the first set. Hopefully they didn't delete and reload them again today (Tuesday). Our DM supported our split shift because when he was in our store yesterday (Monday) he said they still had not finalized all the signing for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Also, he said there may be additional store signage as well. Such fun.

Yup. Notes from my manager on the schedule posted on the wall for tomorrow have some of us doing the "ad and ad prep" tomorrow. I assume this will be getting signs up, but hidden behind the current ones to be pulled forward later, like was done last year.
