Why would Nabisco exit then if they know Keebler's plan?

Keebler/Kelloggs having nationwide meeting end of august to address snack sales decline. (No rumor- Confirmed). This date is no coincidence as Aug. 28 will be 1 year since DSD was terminated and right before Nabisco DSD will most likely end. The 1 year meets federal guidelines for union & mass layoffs and they signed only a 1 year exclusive contract with many warehouses in certain market areas. They could legally re-boot DSD entirely but most likely in select markets only, congested areas like metro NY etc., where warehousing is not working well, but without 90% of their previous overhead and capitalize on Nabisco's eventual exit as Nabisco did to them. Trailers would go directly to master distributors who would provide in store merchandising & DSD at their expense not Kellogg's. All this is the FIRST answer to big box retailers demanding lower prices in response to internet company intrusion in the retail food market as well as securing their bottom line as food tastes are changing as they figure out how to change with it. It's inevitable Nabisco will follow the same model as well as other big DSD entities.

As an ex Keebler rep nabisco will try to string u along with bonuses and incentives to stay on the last thing they want is mass exodus. We were given 6 months notice of dsd going away sounds like nabisco my be doing less. The last 30 to 40 days was a disaster at kellogg the wheels came off the first to go will be part timers and people who find a better job that better than what they offer to stay on . One incentive was the company car but u had to hit a number God couldn't hit and the cars were junk for the most part good Luke to all and start looking hit send on your resume

Wrong!!! Lots of departments within organization where terminology would vary! But who cares! When your told directly by an account and then shown that all our SKU's are loaded into their system that's not hearsay! Why in the world would Wal Mart have all our SKU's in their guns and why is Kroger now testing CAO everywhere? Believe what you want!

Most local departure location is called a branch, anyone in the company would know that.... saving on marketing by giving new trucks to 3rd party, laughable. I agree, signs are there but nobody is posting anything other than hearsay.

A lot of posts here coming from people that are not using company terminology. Sounds fake to me. If any of you in the know care to post realistic info, with legit sounding company terminology, would sure like to hear some truth.

They may be scumbags, but NOT the reason mondelez is leaving DSD! Sad management has chosen to skirt questions about our future with, "we are committed to DSD" when they have been preparing for our exit for years! Scumbags all around! Maybe it's a learned behavior?

To whomever posted all this stuff is "crap", do you happen to work in field sales? If so, have you noticed the changes? Have you been told directly by people in your accounts whom care about your welfare? We have! Call it crap or anything else you want, just don't act surprised!

When stores tell you that they are taking over ordering that's a pretty good source.

One manager at Kroger told me April 21st they go live on C.A.O. computer assisted ordering.

Excatly! Also stores keep asking if we've heard about Nabisco leaving DSD.

Wake up and smell the coffee folks

If you don't want to believe we are leaving dsd, than don't!! Not sure why Wal Mart would have all our skus in their system? I saw this first hand. Ask your Wal Mart grocery lead to scan one of our items, than scan another dsd vendor, see what happens. If people are more comfortable living with their head in the sand, their choice. Others, like myself, prefer not to be surprised! Personal choice, but it is obious where we are headed!

Where is the proof Mondelez is exiting DSD in 2018, if at all??? If there’s no evidence, it’s hard to believe.

Keebler hung on to a few people to get them through the transition, only sales reps, all merchandisers were let go. My guess is mondelez would do something similar, just a guess. Downside for Keebler reps was that if you were offered to stay on, you were not offered severance, and if you chose not to stay, you got nothing, so they had no choice.
