Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Get off the back of people still working here

Why all the hate towards the employees still at Honeywell? I don't understand that. Calling us slugs, or in denial, or stupid.... why? I am a single mom, who also takes care of her elderly parents, and is paying off debt my ex created for us while married. I do not have time to go 'job hunting', nor do I have the energy right now. I'm trying to hold onto this job so I can feed my kids and keep a roof over their head. You losing your job was not my fault. Direct your anger somewhere else, please.

What @QfuFYup-1ynt said. I'm sick and tired of seeing people be called names for staying employed at Honeywell. Every single one of us have our reasons for it, and they have noting to do with being "unemployable" or "lazy" or whatever else adjective you like throwing our way. The fact is that not everybody is in a position to look for another job. Which is why we stay where we are and hope we are not caught in the next round of layoffs, no matter how good or bad our current situation at work is. So keep that in mind next time you feel like being an a-- for no other reason but the fact we still have a job here and you don't.

The best time to look for a job is while you still have one; and you may be able to find a little more $ at the same time. Take all the banter as somewhat of a warning. Hard work and doing all the right things don't guarantee you will remain an employee at Honeywell. Your great boss can leave or be replaced at anytime and your situation can change. There are people in other cities looking at spreadsheets and making decisions and have no idea who the employees are. Many former or current employees are frustrated as they felt the weren't treated fairly. But company executive don't make money for themselves by being fair to everyone.

Good luck to those of you who are left at Honeywell, I hope you continue to be employed if it's what you want to do with your life. Those of us who were let go are either angry, or happy. I'm happy to be gone, and I wouldn't wish ill will on any of my ex co-workers. Most of the people calling others names are the people who s---ed at their jobs and had terrible attitudes, so it's no surprise they come on here and continue to act like feckless children, pay them no mind, they are fools!

I read this site to keep up with the failures of Honeyhell and to see how they are screwing the employees that are left. I’ve only been gone 2 months so I’m still interested.

It could be a small part of me is hoping they continue to spiral downwards as predicted.

After 37 years there is a feeling they fell short , I’m a product of the WFH debacle. BUT, I get two paychecks every month, no more female manager that thinks she knew how to do everyone’s job better than you, and no more putting up with the lies. Do not do bad after all.

Merry Christmas to all both past and current honewellers.

I agree that the lady mentioning her ex, was not here to complain about her personal problems. She obviously was here to tell those "complaining" about the workers staying, that there are many reasons for staying and that's why they do (giving her own experience as an EXAMPLE). It makes no sense to blame them for your problems because you were fired, Loser! So, you can F--- off!

1) what does "wholler in your pit" mean? (dumba$$) 2) "This isn't a forum for personal problems", yet everyone is here to complain about their personal experiences with Honeywell, so you are apparently dumba$$ #2.

I think you both are the ones that really need professional help. Seriously... if you've "moved on" - then "move on" and stfu.

This isn't a forum for personal problems. Nobody want to know about your ex. Please f---off.

Well maybe you shouldn't sell yourself short ... at our plant half of personel was fired ... so the other half just decided to leave on their own, and ALL of them found better paying jobs in a better environment within WEEKS.

Why would you continue to subject yourselves to a crapy company, lousy managers, no future, with all that’s said it is truth.

You and Honeyhell deserve each other so please stay and continue to be wholler in your pit.
