Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Vacation time and layoffs

I was wondering if anybody could tell me what happens to paid vacation days that were not used in a layoff? Are they a part of Verizon's compensation package or are they simply ignored in the whole process? So if you haven't used them up, tough luck? Thanks in advance for the answer.

You will get your unpaid vac in a separate check after your final work day.

You’ll be paid out unused vacation time. Personal time is lost unless your state mandates it be paid out. In my case, it came on its own check timed between my last paycheck and severance.

you receive all unused vacation hours. It is important to always use the personal hours/floaters first.
