No need to lay off after NXP closes because we'll never need to hit those two year synergy targets. Broadcom's future problem.
GET WITH IT PEOPLE... NXP is never going to happen .Broadcom will buy the company before Qualcomm can seal the deal with NXP.Broadcom doesnt want NXP.

They had plans for post NXP merger layoffs already drawn up. There was some discussion here on that, and I know one manager who leaked details. Those plans have been scrapped now due to the delays in the merger.
The layoffs after a Broadcom acquisition would be significantly larger as Broadcom would shut down quite a few projects and products.
Me too, put me out of my misery.
I am ready to retire.
