GE has de-evolved into a cesspool of six sigma slime, where few if any managers are technical experts and understand the business, and a company with a bad reputation with customers and workers alike.
Workers are miserable at GE because GE has de-evolved into this from the exact opposite.
GE had evolved over decades into a top notch businesses that turned engineering science, technology, and manufacturing into a huge and growing cash cow with a great reputation, and with life long workers that brought their families there to work. Evolution from science always brings things to the most efficient and higher level o excellence.
Now it is a cesspool by almost any measure and lousy cash flow, stock price, and reputation are the result. GE has de-volved over the last few decades by nothing but bad management.
You can't replace experts who know the businesses from bottom up to fakers who don't.
This is what has destroyed GE
