Is this still on for Friday? What departments and how deep? Or is this now pushed off until January 2018??

I've heard there are layoffs going on today. No details yet but it's happening in Hardware at least.
If folks are being told that their last day is 30+ days out, then that's a WARN issue.... and a big layoff somewhere. The folks who were laid off at the end of September didn't get the 30 days notice.
Not sure if the layoff today is the end for some or if they have been given a date. I was given notice today that my last day is Jan 8.
I expect they will wait until January to rif more people.

I think there will be some folk being notified tomorrow and a larger group of folk being notified next week. Already heard rumor of some middle-managers being cut loose, but not out of the ordinary.

Essentially anyone still stuck in on prem old tech should worry. And now with AWS upping the ante this week even working in Cloud one should watch one's back.

The layoffs at ORCL are over. No more will be occurring so it's time to move on.
