Popcorn here and my sources are telling me that the 3 Kmart regionals will be let go right after the holidays most likey 2nd week of January. This company will bebran by Sears people. Will keep you posted.

So true. These are people who worked hard many years in this company. For some if not most it is what they put food on their table with, raised a family. No one deserves to be told I hope this one closes or that one. Show some compassion or keep your ignorant comments to yourself...
Makes sense but it is really in poor taste to call out people specifically who could lose their jobs.

@ryj Not all of them, just most of them. Still planning to keep a couple hundred (for now), supposedly.
Thanks once again for the update here. So can we assume maybe just maybe bankruptcy wont happen in 2018 maybe they are going to sell everything they got to go for one last year and milk it for another year?

Supposedly they're going to kill all remaining Kmarts in February. No need to keep the Kmart guys around.
They are restructuring the regions. Our Sears Regional Manager had her region split in half. She now has Sears and Kmart stores in her region. Our new Regional Manager is the Kmart Regional Manager who has Sears and Kmart stores in his region. We got a visit from this new Regional Manager and Kmart corporate in our Sears store last week.
Not surprising since I hear reports of Kmart sales down ~60%....there may not always be next year.
