Hiring while cutting hours

Can somebody explain the logic behind hiring more people while cutting down on hours? I honestly can't figure it out. We are already barely able to keep people due to how few hours they are getting, and now we are adding even more into the mix? What gives, Sam's Club?

How about this one.... The turnover rate at the Sam's store in Lady Lake, Florida is approximately 200 people a year since it opened in 2009.

Because they cut hrs of current higher paid employees and replace with hrs for lower paid new hires. All a way to keep edging long term associates out the door!

too many knee jerk reactions that backfire within 1-2 yrs. they know it by 1 yr but it takes another year to fix their screw ups. by then too many people are negatively effected. one idiot idea after another.

They hire new people and cut our hours because the HO people who call the shots are bat Sh-- crazy. They get paid big bucks to sit on their butts and come up with last minute child like decisions.
