This is the fault of senior management destroying the company, it has nothing to do with the economy.

Lol, whoever posted that we are in a recession obviously doesn't listen to any financial news. Almost all companies (except Ge) are at record earning. Try subscribing to the WSJ or listen to cnbc when you aren't trolling. GE was just mismanaged for the past 40 years starting with welch. He was an idiot doing financial engineering so he could get his stock options and ridiculous retirement benefits
To the OP - BTW, do you realize that through a year's time the Dow Jones Industrial Avg has gone up while GE (part of the Dow, for now) has gone down. That's not a recession. That's a single corporation in trouble. Don't read the GE propaganda.

My eyes see an ex-CEO laughing his way to the bank to make a deposit of about $200 million. Never mind the fact that he spent 16 decreasing shareholder wealth.
