Thread regarding L3 Technologies layoffs

New Boss for Communication Systems

I see that there is a new sheriff in town at the Communications Systems Segment (no inside info here, its on the web site).

Will his first order of business be some kind of reorg?

The former NSS was reorganized out of existence (at least within L3). The Electronic Systems business was reorganized in half. The Aerospace Systems group was reorganized (and they may not be done yet). So I guess it is Communication Systems turn.

‘‘Twas the night before christmas & all thru the Org not a worker was stirring except for the Board. They did their best thinking and chuckled with glee as they reshuffled divisions & budgets & set workers free. As the stock climbed higher Management traded it fast, knowing full well the company wouldn’t last. L3 had great folks but they had to go, so the greedy could prosper & rack up more dough. Over in Greenville there arose such a clatter that Waco woke up to see what was the matter. If it ain’t value added cast it aside, and you can be certain L3’s never lied. As 2017 slip slides away, there’s only one thing that’s left to say. Don’t be counting on corporate to save the day.

Never send to learn for whom the reorg tolls; it tolls for thee.

No matter who runs the show it will fail. Get your resume polished, you will need it after the start of the new year.

I know he got a bump up the food chain, but was still running CSW. Who is the new guy in charge?

I don't know if there has been an announcement yet about who takes over in Salt Lake. Maybe it will be announced as part of the group-segment level reorg.

I guess I'm missing something, I thought Andy Ivers was running things. I know he got a bump up the food chain, but was still running CSW. Who is the new guy in charge?

Best reorganization would be to layoff the upper management team that is responsible for bad decisions. Doubt the new sheriff in town has the balls for that though.

You can't have a good reorganization without some layoffs. The big bosses always love that.
