Remember, these numbers only look at the net expenditures that states spend on illegal immigration, and they say nothing about other contributions to the economy. Any way you cut it though, whenever states are spending billions of dollars on something, it’s worth taking a hard look at where the money is going and why.

California is the largest state by population, so it would be no surprise if they lead the nation in almost any evaluation of spending on a topic. What is obvious is they are spending more per "citizen" than its peers.

Actually unless an illegal alien brings a bunch of money with them from the country of origin they are not contributing financially. With that said this is not the appropriate forum for an immigration discussion as illegal immigration is not an issue At Qualcomm.

I would like to know why the USA doesn’t put pressure on countries to take care of their citizens. Many countries to the south of USA are dominated by elite colonial European. They are greedy and do not help indigenous peoples of the Americas. Very shameful.
