Thought CB&I was going to make their announcement regarding who was purchasing Technology by Dec 1? So does this mean they are behind schedule due to unfavorable negotiations? If that’s the case they will bust through those debt covenants again and BAC will be breathing down at the ready to call it in. The buyers have to know this, why wouldn’t they wait to put the pressure on CB&I to get a lower price. Those geniuses in finance sure have out done themselves.

We are midway through December and still no announcement. Does anyone know anything? Thought this was supposed to be all wrapped up in a pretty red bow by now.
Safety at cb&i, along with the ridiculous CMS program is merely a method to divert liability away from the company. It's used inba retaliatory fashion against employees who cant fall in line. I have seen employees be sent home for not having gloves on while harmlessly walking through a plant going to break. At the same time we've had a production manager direct a crew to use inferior components while pressure testing. This command , basically producing a pipe bomb, which later sent shrapnel hundreds of feet away through side of building, was reviewed and considered an opportunity to provide more training.....The hypocracy and arrogance in management in this company could not be explained in month long meeting. Poor choices in leadership, irrelevant policies in the CMS, and a false focus on safety have led us to where we are right now, headed for unemployment line. I will miss the atmosphere and personnel at my job. I will have been freed from the oppressive, devisive, arrogant, misleading group of morons embedded in the corporate structure of this company. For a company that prides itself on safety they sure screwed up during Harvey. They had no emergency plan in place, communication was only if you signed up for emails that when they did come where extremely last minute, had wrong information, and were useless. Facilities, security and HR only realized days later they had no plan, so the result was people running around with spreadsheets asking who was impacted. Unbelievable!
Oh, yes there is that novel auto email they used to communicate status during a Harvey. My own boss didn’t even know about it. Never received one communication from anyone during that time, but don’t you know they care so much about the employees. Make sure you use your own vacation days to clean up your flooded house. Nice!
At least CB&I is not communicating status using Twitter at 3 in the morning.

All companies are inherently run by the selfish and greedy. All any company 'promises' these days: you have a job until you don't. I do not and haven't worked for CBI, but I've worked for plenty of others and it's always the same. You can't let it drive you nuts ... I think you have too much of your heart in your work. Yes, that makes you a human with human emotions ... but "companies are not people". It's never personal, it's always about money. Period, end of sentence. You do work, they pay you ... any other promises of the future are just hot air. Always.
Investor relations my a--. I dont know how you people sleep at night. What about coming up with a decent goddamn apology for all your unemployed ex-workers as to why you dumb--ses up there in high chair run it all into the ground. CBI Investor Relations responded in writing: "We expect to make an announcement by the end of the week." (from today, Monday 12/4).
It’s a black box and no one can see what is going on inside and there is a reason they don’t want the outside in. Those on the 4th floor can’t beleive they achieved such personal financial success and will do what ever it takes to keep their money train going. Meanwhile they don’t have the intelligence, moral character or innovation to keep the company from making bad decisions, so the whole thing collapses.
CB&I is not an engineering company. Matter of fact, they are a disgrace to engineering. They are a purchasing and construction company. They used to be an engineering company.
Instead of engineers running the show, project managers run over engineering due to the fact that they cannot schedule a job.
They cannot sell a job without cutting schedule and hours. Then they beat engineering up to produce junk and documents.
They will hire anyone as an engineer, all you have to do is be able to fill out forms. They let the vendors do the engineering. Look at the quality of their work, that says it all.
Im sure they will. They are probably still filling out their JSA, and 5x5, securing all the right documentation, and referring to the CMS on directions for this task. Maybe, uhmmm March, 2108?

If there is one thing cb&i leadership does well it is LYING! Anyone who has worked for them for more than two weeks knows this....Succeed or fail, cb&i can kiss my white a--. Im leaving before I get walked out. Plenty of more reputable companies out there to work for. CB&I, f--- you!😒
