Has anyone been able to extend their Texas UI Benefits? If so, what was the process?

Explain yourself, 3lgk. I live in an affluent neighborhood of greater Houston and pay more in property taxes than you may realize.
In general the more livable places can extract higher taxes. Texas offers nothing and costs nothing.
Yeah, but those more progressive states will tax away all the money you’ll get in any UI extension. So much for any real gain. Just stay put in Texas. Save the moving expense.
There are a couple of problems

2) You should move to a more progressive state where you could claim you identify as an unemployed minority woman and get UI FOREVER!!!

No, but really, Texas is horrible
Only the Federal government can extend UI Benefits. The State UI fund is intended to grant qualifying unemployment benefits for a maximum of 26 weeks. In bad economic times, if the federal government deems it necessary, they will fund the State’s UI fund to extend benefits to the unemployed of that particular State. Right now, the entire country is enjoying an average unemployment rate near 4.2%, which is very low. So, to answer the OP’s question, “NO”, there’s no chance for any UI Benefits extension in the foreseeable future. Six months is all anyone will be getting.
