Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Insurance

CVS Health Corp. has agreed to buy Aetna Inc. for about $69 billion in cash and stock, a deal that would combine a large insurer with a big provider of pharmacy services and transform the U.S. health-care landscape.

Walmart associates can now only use Walmart and Sam’s club pharmacies.

I wonder when they are only going to make you use company doctors?

It’s a benefit the associates pay for and now they tell you where to go.

@1y- pro Walmart

Making only Sam’s Club and Walmart Pharmacy the only ones in network?

Because CVS bought Aetna?

People shouldn’t have to use their company pharmacy only. Lol

All insurances tell you where you can go if you want the network discount. You can go anywhere you want if you want to pay out of network. This is not unusual. It's cost maintenance. Why would they not leverage their own resources to keep costs down?
