Lack of response from Coach 22 and Coach 💯 almost makes me more nervous about the upcoming January layoff

Why do you think they are quiet this time when they have been so vocal in the past?

It is me. I didn't want to give specifics and risk my job. I would hope you'd understand but obviously not. Just more risk now than before. But it is phc, hcm rn and hcm ss. Early February as of now. No need to be mean or rude. I've only tried to help ease anxiety over the last year. I'm signing off now for good.

Previous poster I totally agree with your opinion that Humana doesn’t have a plan. They are trying to figure it out and I believe none of us are safe.

My opinion-only opinion-Humana doesn't have a firm plan. They are looking to buy or be bought. So there isnt a long term vision right now. Health care insurance is in flux and they are figuring out how to stay competitive. That being said, no one is safe because the ground is shaking every where.

Blow poster, as a PHC who was told "no more 2017 layoffs" (only to see more layoffs) at one of those meetings, my advice would be - don't expect real "information" at these meetings; don't process them as such. If anything, they are spin, Kool-Aid, time-wasters -- anything but helpful "information."

Right, below poster. My coach (PHC coach) has been telling us to update resumes and look for other opportunities for months now.

It’s my fault if I choose to ignore him (I haven’t ignored him - I have a second interview this week for a position elsewhere that I’m excited about).

Ever since we stopped enrolling, we have been advised to get ducks in a row and search - at least on my team.

I’m with the other poster regardless of the date we know it’s coming. Just have your resume ready. imo it should have been ready since last year I know mine has been ready and I’m applying for jobs outside of Humana.

I am sure they are, based on what is happening all around. It may help that HAH RNs are heading out the door before the next round. HCM RN here that just left and 2 more after me are leaving soon after I left. That may help some of the slated layoffs for some. Good luck!

I too don't believe this is the real 22. We have been duped before. If 22 could say prepare, 22 could also say prepare for nurse, PHC or CHE layoffs. Not just "prepare"

So there’s obviously 2 possibilities. Either a number of coaches received some concerning news yesterday afternoon, or there are people on here BS’ing.

If you are a person BS’ing please think about how unnecessarily cruel it is, would you want someone messing with your family member or yourself about the loss of your job?

That said, I’m getting a strong feeling of deja vu just typing this, remembering how we all jumped on 💯 for being cruel and lying, only to get hit with a hard dose of reality afterward.

The hcmss queue is over 600, there are less warm transfers and probably will be now that hcmss are care planning, I don’t see how they are over staffed

Heard from a coach friend that they were expecting more nurses to quit after last layoffs than what actually did leave. Heard HAH and particularly HCM RNs will be the ones let go in January. Hcm RNs are just overstaffed now with moving members to monitored .

I think the point was that conflicting reasons were given for the training push off.

This, in combination with no new enrollment since June, a heavy push to move members off of rosters, a year of layoffs and false reassurances, a work environment in which we are supposed to pretend none of this has occurred and can’t ask questions, and awful communication about what’s next - naturally, people would be on edge.

PHCs, there are so many glitches in the care plan training and program, it’s going to take time to figure them out....what are you all doing with the behavioral health training.
