Eddie has been systematically tearing SHLD down for years, which has resulted in a staggering number of lost jobs and massive economic devastation. Yet, a couple of buffoons are in an absolute tizzy that a liquidator's brother-in-law has loose lips and they want revenge. Talk about misplaced priorities!
So you want to report a guy for saying hes liquidating a sears ... would this stop the liquidation ? would the employees still get to keep their job ? What exactly would change if he said nothing and the people working there had zero warning ? In the eyes of SEARS you just being on this board if they had their way would fire you for even looking at it.
And this way, employees get some warning and time to plan. Don't be a rule following robot, you cite humanity as a reason to report him, but the reality is that your logic is completely backwards. Be nice. It's not hard.
So you are more concerned that the guy blabbed, than the fact that a store closing affects many lives? The people whose lives are being affected deserve to know the truth, and plan accordingly. This guy blabbing did not hurt them. The store closing will.
Because he is a a--hole and he should keep his mouth shut like his contract tells him to do. Like sears or hate them when a store closes it effects many lives and families and is a very hard day for the assoicates. So this a--holes will not be liquidating these stores

Not smart, I will be forwarding this to Ted at Abcus Advisors and they will be able to track down this liquidator. They have a strict policy of not leaking store closings. I hope this liquidator didn't pay for his hotel up front because he isn't going to have anything to liquidate.

Patiently waiting. Just closed a store back in September. Hoping my new store isn't on the list!
Have been told by sources (cannot name for obvious reasons) whom work at district and regional level that there will be around 80 stores announced by the end of the month. Good luck to everyone still grinding it out.

That store could have had its merchandise mix better tailored to the community. A lot of Mennonites shop the store and I'm sure they weren't buying Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and Sofia Vergara AT ALL. Yet, these brands were given prime floor and display space when they were carried by Kmart. Ultimately this odd merchandising decision and others cost the store in unsold merchandise, alienated the customer base and negatively affected store profitability.
Can't wait for it. I always like to pop some more popcorn and butter it up for the show. I predict at least 70 kmarts and 6 sears will die soon. Or maybe a few auto centers at sears. It's coming and I am ready. Glad to be out of this company in 2013 and watch the show.
