All hands?

Is there a Flannery all hands meeting tomorrow? Any idea on what he will say?

He will tell the manager teams to cut the power division blue collar jobs after the holidays. Many to come! $2 billion is a lot of jobs in power I would say. Get resumes ready GE Power will need them dearly!

The only item of substance imo was that JF wants to shrink Corporate. I'll believe it when I see it. He also attributed GE's current mess to putting too much emphasis on esp (not fortune telling, obviously) rather than cash. Did any of our ousted corporate leaders even know how to balance a simple checkbook?

Same political buzzwords. Same jaw yapping without substance. It’s obvious he’s just raking in the $Millions and doesn’t care.

No confidence after watching this meeting. Someone asked a really good question about "death by a thousand cuts" and Flannery totally failed to address it.

All hands? Abandon ship!

Just watched the Flannery 'pat your buddy executive on the back' all hands. My favorite, which they have not missed in a single all hands presentation, is the "we supply a third of the worlds power'. OK we got it the first 12 times you said it. If that history is the only hook you have to hang your hat on, guess we're screwed. Everyone knows there are more lay offs coming, just be upfront about it so people can start moving forward with their lives (aka job hunting) and not GEs. These people still think that company loyalty is a real thing.

I didn't hear anything of substance other than the usual empty GE buzzwords. Company culture, candor, operational excellence.

Did anybody have a chance to view the broadcast? Any important information?

It's at 7:30, therefore your entire premise is wrong. GE's future is so bright you've got to wear shades!

Yes, the Flannery all hands meeting is at 7:00 Eastern Standard Time.

I imagine he will talk about last year, and then go on to tell us that more sacrifices are needed, with no specifics as to where or how many. We will be left to wait for HR to send us Confidential Discussion appointments in Outlook at some future date. Demoralized, we will stumble through the days, or go find opportunities elsewhere.
