The company is not moving executives to Switzerland willy-nilly. GE receives a tax incentive from the Swiss government to have some number or certain leadership positions in the country. Many of the execs who moved when we first bought Alstom have returned to the States and some new ones are going over to maintain that tax incentive. I can guarantee that the tax incentives outweigh the costs to move leaders over otherwise the company wouldn't do it.

@2ngi not all EB or SEB...the point was that GE is still moving people from the US to Switzerland for these cushy ski-vacation “jobs.” Why the hell does the Power Quality Leader need to be based in Baden? Makes no sense, especially in this environment, considering these type assignments are extremely expensive for the company.

For you fake news fans, VJE, VRIPs are coming this week and letters are supposed to be out today, Tuesday 2/6, but it appears HR or Corp is late. Decision from employees by 2/14 and out of the company by 3/31, same time line as last year. I sat in the people leader mtg where they walked us through the timeline.
Actually, VJEP and VRIP have been announced.
Also, GE is still moving US-based EB’s to Baden, at HUGE expense. The new Power Quality Leader will be based in Baden. Boondoggles to the Swiss Alps for EB’s, VJEP & layoffs for the peasants!
