Our sears store is expanding Matresses

Our lands end moved out so their space is being filled with junior clothing

Where juniors use to be our intimate department (bras, underwear and pajamas) are moving in that spot on 1st floor

PLUS

Our mattress department on second floor is getting 40 new mattresses to go where intimates use to be

That must have been a big intimates dept if 40 can fit there. o.O Ours is tiny by comparison.

In our store one of our SMA’s and his “assistant” decided to try out one of the mattresses a few weeks ago... unfortunately, they left some things behind so it didn’t end well for him. I don’t think he got severance!

Don’t forget about filling with toilet paper and paper towels. All over the store we have trim shelves full of paper products lol

There is supposed to be a revival of the SearsOPedic. This time, made in China. I don't see them being "made to order" and with Sears being so cash poor, I wonder if some uninformed company is selling to Sears on credit.

Sears doesn’t get the mattresses for free. There are fees involved.

Curious: what brand(s) are these new mattresses?

@ocq True! KMart does bring out all the tubs. 40 mattresses? They have space that needs to be filled.

They also take up space on the sales floor and Sears gets the display mattresses for free.

Makes good business sense.

Mattresses have a high profit margin with an average mark-up of 40 to 50 percent

My sympathy to those who have to install 40 of them on the floor...

So ,they are facing the store with mattresses!

Kmart stores tend to use storage totes to fill their empty shelves.
