CHK management just sacrificed 400 employees for the so called better of the company. What has Doug or Frank or Jason Piglet sacrificed? Doug could have sacrificed 30% of his $15 mil total package to save these employees. All three could have given a little so no one person could have suffered. If we had poor performers, then Do Your Damn Job and coach them out. Don’t throw them into a layoff and never have set them down to talk about their performance. I watched upper management do this and regardless of what was said they couldn’t be convinced.
But no. Let’s sacrifice the peasants so the royalty can maintain their status. Let’s get rid of hard workers who actually perform but let’s keep the s-xy girls because who doesn’t like eye candy. I can’t wait for the townhall for Big Bucks Doug to get up and try to give an emotional speech about how he cares for us all and how CHK is just suffering because analyst don’t recognize all of our hard work. Then in a couple weeks Jason Piglet will take something his young kids learned in 5th grade and make a new great program for CHK. Like his Saturday Night Live cowbell routine, or the Inovate-a-thin. Really. I mean seriously, next thing he will be handing out little gold stickers to place on our doors. I guess that’s what $6 mill buys these days.
What would really fix CHK is if we could hire more Anadarko employees. That would be awesome. The ones we currently have are doing us a world of good.
