Emails from leadership today reminding us we have Lifeworks available...

How thoughtful to remind us we have Lifeworks available while our jobs all dangle in our faces with absolute and complete uncertainty...thanks for reminding us that while we have panic attacks all day long about future employment and our fates completely unknown, that you provide 6 sessions of counseling to deal with it. SMH

My biggest issue is other departments get 3-5 years notice. Not me. Less than 6 months and still don’t know if I am affected for sure and then my manager tells me it will be just fine. This coming from someone that got a job offer the same day as being told about the reduction.

I agree with the previous comment. Very harsh and your lack of compassion is sad. Families are impacted, dual member households who both work at State Farm, single parents, etc. To be told you are not in a location we are moving forward in, but we won’t tell you now if you may get severance, may not, may be provided relocation and to begin preparing your family if you are mobile to move with your job, or any detail to help know if you need to be job searching elsewhere or may be able to still work, and many have been loyal employees spending their entire 15-35 year career here at this point, is absolutely stressful, heartbreaking, and scary. To have no details to help make a life changing decision, plus be told you won’t know more for another month or so, I just dont understand the strategy. It makes all employees feel they, their years of hard work, and their loyalty don’t matter at all on top of feeling panicked. Personally I would prefer all the details at the same time so there isn’t the wait and panic to see period. Hoping to extend peace on the hearts of all those impacted to find the right path and know what needs to be done for each of their situations.

Worklife counseling benefits include six - one hour counseling sessions with professional counselor in private practice. It is very helpful.

I think it is unkind to say people are whining when they are only concerned re their future and don’t like misrepresentation. Very cold hearted and unnecessary. People would prefer the truth up front.

I am so so sorry for those who are suffering this uncertainty. I am among the blessed who will retire thos year regardless and even i am annoyed at the hold its put on deciding my date. I cannot imagine how hard it is for the others of you but you are in my thoughts. This just shows how awful our leadership truly is for them to mess with lives this way and then tell us they care about us. Baloney. Get out if you can however you can.
