There is a lot of fear and dispair surrounding everything to do with Walmart now, and the ones going to be hardest hit will be the long term hourly employees (not 'associates'. We don't sit at the board meetings and this isn't a drug deal.) ..... But where ever you're at on the economic food chain, know that this isn't the end and that there are things you can do for yourself.
Vocational training. Maunual skills are in D I R E need for people right now. It's hard work but it doesn't require rocket science math----and it pays very decent.
CDL. Truck driving is growing increasingly needed and paying higher than evr before, due to the demand. Again, not that hard to get into.
Health care. There is almost always a need for help in every area in that field---licensed or on the job training.
Look first to a career guidance service in your area, look on line, research it out, all very easy things to do. Get up. Get help. There IS hope, and you're not helpless.
