In my experience, HR gets cut after all the other layoffs happen. Just like the finance people are needed until the numbers are done for the quarter, the HR worker bees are needed until the layoffs are done.
The gravediggers are always the last to go.
Post regarding the fatality and safety people being cut has been removed also.
Look in he mirror???? HR had the lowest percentage layoff in the company. Maybe if they would actually lead by doing (right sizing their own group) they wouldn’t be viewed by the rest of the company as such a joke.
HR departments tend to be full of very manipulative people who over value their own contributions. Of course we should look in the mirror as we are the ones now looking for work. Wonder if there is a way to find out who posted that.
HR should turn the lens inward and realize the constant churn of policies and rules and behaviours and anything else they can come up with add zero value. You could cut their numbers in half and the company would breath a sigh of relief.
Not just hr, look at the lack of action across real estate, eis and every other portfolio under senior leader. Rounds to zero.

typically they nuke things that go against the rules (you can see them in the footer) - in short, cyber-bullying, profanity, threats and use of private information (including employee names) will get you banned and all your posts will be deleted...
Cenovus will layoff every single team and even then HR will have a 100 people
HR shouldn’t encompass more than about a dozen people. Waste of G&A.
lol... HR remains untouched this round. of course they are the best performers of this company. Everyone else need to look in the mirror!
