Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Service Manager Training

The Service Manager Training "opportunity" is a joke. It is the same discriminatory selection as seems to be the norm with Lowes and what was discussed when they "transitioned" some department managers to service managers. Get rid of the older even if better ASM's, get rid of the older even if better department managers. No one cares about experience or who is better qualified but just age. Supposedly need management background and full time but they make their own rules. Some young kids chosen who are part timers with less than a year service. Such a joke and discrimination.

They fired a Sales Manager making 60K to hire one with NO LOWES management experience making almost 20K less. He screwed himself up and got fired for s-xual comments and the next one is a female with NO ASM experience. She kisses the bosses butt. She will do anything for him. Another women who is desperate to get a bone. Taking a bottom of the barrel pay just to have the position. Well the fired another ASM making 60K and I am willing to bet the next one will be making 40K also with no experience. They have to get rid of support ASM she's at 55K. Next on the block.. I'll be leaving soon to be a store manager for another company and making more then these chumps. With stocks..

Fresh out of high school with no education and do whatever they tell you to do because you don't have a brain to think for yourself. That is what they want to manage.

You are so correct. I believe someone could be America's most wanted, and become lowes management. The minimum requirements for management, should be at least 2 year degree in business management administration. or equivalent, and at least 24 months on the sales floor. This would include all corporate positions. Even nibbledick.

You all got that right. In a normal business, these people would be fired for s-xual harassment or s-xual discrimination or s-xual misconduct. If they outed the sleezy s-x obsessed Lowes people like the ones in Hollywood, the stores would have very few employees. What is also sad is they talk or joke about s-x acts and a customer could walk by at any minute. If employees accidentally hear other employees flirting, laughing, talking with ASM's or service managers or other employees about s-x then a customer could over hear also. When someone files a complaint with HR about someone harassing them and hitting on them, it gets squelched and it is the victim that is pushed out.

Lowe's is nothing but a meat market. If you're looking for a woman go no further than being employed at Lowe's she can pray on every female in the store married or not. Of course you'll have to wait for the manager's to get done being serviced by every female in this door before it's your turn the panties Hit the Floor easily it's like a huge meat market in this place. Interpersonal relationships between employees whether they are on equal terms whether they are higher above you below you which is usually below you, makes absolutely no difference and seems to be condoned by HR and the general management of this company. It's so obvious what goes on in here even customers notice it. Trying to get the lovers in this store to service a core a customer is impossible because they're too busy servicing their boyfriends or texting them all day long. This is probably the worst work environment and morale of any place I have ever worked.

Many are making more than current employees and they call out all the time plus have no loyalty or walk around trying to pick up chicks all day or sleep in the break room or take 30 minute breaks every two hours. Fresh blood isn't always the best choice but Lowes management doesn't even pay attention to what any current employees have to offer. Just another reason Lowes is going down....that and being a follower instead of a leader. And they wonder why employee morale is low.

All of the new management hires have come from outside the store and are considerably younger and less experienced than those that they replaced. They were hired simply because they were cheaper to hire than a Lowe's employee.
