If a uniform is required, possibly. Uniforms may be tax deductible too. However requiring people to dress decent in a certain color is not a uniform.

In some states if they require you to have a certain type of clothing the company is required to provide the clothing or a clothing allowance.

I would like to know how changing the dress code will drive sales

How is a collar on a shirt going to change how customers feel about sears?

I can understand the color thing but a collar?

And starting today if you have a shirt on without a collar you can be sent home to change

1luo- they must have been told to talk about EBITDA- we heard the same thing.. sears is doing so good and throwing that word around every other word.

60 days to learn every aspect of the new category you’re in.. let’s see how those hours accommodate that. They don’t say what happens after that if you weren’t trained in a certain part of the new category ..

Get excited about doing more work for the same pay. Yay!

Oh, we were "positive" in Q4 2017 by means of EBITDA. Had to stifle a laugh with that one. First of all, we just ended Q4 a couple of weeks ago. It takes over a month to finalize earnings information, which is due the first week of March, so how can it be said with certainty how the company performed in regards to earnings well before the official earnings release?

Secondly, EBITDA is not taken as seriously compared to GAAP, so how "well" did we do if subjected to GAAP?

All in all, it was a huge insult to the intellect of those of us who know better.

Will be very interesting to see next weeks schedule as to how the hours are going to be in learning mode

Giving 60 days to learn all aspects of your new area under your new team but didn’t say what happens after that

In the meeting I did not hear about confiscating phones. Plus they are never going to take my phone away from me. One of the last few perks I get from working in this crap company.

My meeting was sugar coated that this new changes were meant to make the overall store experience better. In reality this is a way of making our store worse yet the changes barily started in my store and its already a mess. I mean people don't know what they are doing and being thrown out their.

SM was just saying all this things that really were a waste of time and we knew already about it. A whole hour wasted in our store. Also in my store didn't seem like everyone attended it and I didn't hear about another one happening later in the store today.

If cell phones, etc. are pulled from associates better have them locked...you know they will be accessed by someone to see whats on the phones. Mgt. will say they won't, you know they will.

Our meeting was a big old nothing! They just went over what the store did in sales and PA's.

No more info than a normal member rally. Dumb.

In my Sears store, the former OPs mgr used to take the phones from people on the floor. So I could believe it happening. More for paying attention at the meeting than security though. Our meeting is scheduled for 6 PM so I am curious.

The HA guys rebelled with phone thing because they needed them to do their jobs.

I am on break and hiding in the toilet while i write this the first thing they had use do is give all of our cellphones and smart devices to the meeting leader in fear of leaks. Good thing I have my wife's phone hiding in my boot. OMG people this meeting is big stuff and is going to change all of our jobs 1000% The first big change is all non salary people will be Oh wait someone just came in and knocking on my stall Im so scared, Please say a prayer for me, they know I have a phone. I will try to post again if I survive. Pray for me pleaseee.
