The butt hurt is strong amongst you
Maybe if they spent more time doing productive stuff and less time trying to get people to click on phishing test emails things would be better.
-aesm, If the company treats you as an Option, then leave them as a Choice.
I'm a blue badge, I've got skin in the game, know upstream, downstream, and "midstream" services to the point where I easily understand critical business processes and urgencies. I go above and beyond knowing that you'll never understand or appreciate what's occurred behind the scenes to make it happen, but dammit I'm proud that I exceeded my personal values and goals and so far that's been good enough. That being said, it's disillusioning when you bust your balls well into the night, (usually one of the last ones to leave my building), do a majority of work at the next PSG level and constantly get push back on Promotion Requests. (Always told they are not done for my position despite the range including 2 PSG levels higher than my current) It's frustrating that this has continued for 12 years. Nevertheless, I enjoy working with the business, TPS, not so much.
It is mostly the windows folks that are so bad. I am generally happy with Unix admin.
So is your vernacular @2zsk. Always the same. Surely limited by your lack of education.
Oh, butthurt loser. That's original.
If my PC is working fine then is completely f’ed after a GIL update, that’s IT’s fault, not mine.
The core of the problem is so many incompetent Chevroids don't know how to use a PC at all, much less any of the apps. So they always tend to blame their incompetence on IT. Hence all of the comments from the butthurt losers on this site.
Chevron doesn’t hire IT pros until the have five or six years of oil experience. The Chevroids keep competition away. That’s the Chevron way.
Chevron has historically lagged our industry in IT. Management sees it as a necessary evil which demotivates staff. It is a gap.
Its the 'its always been done this way' coupled with no one who has every actually done it in the real world! The managers are all home grown in bred who have NO clue how its actually supposed to work and waste MILLIONS of dollars
A lot of managers in IT have no IT background. LOL
The central problem IT has throughout Chevron is that it’s not mission driven. It’s a hodge-podge mix of poorly managed and uncoordinated activity. For crying out load, replace the clown at the top and work your way down the org chart. Have only IT managers with practical experience running the shops and make sure the staff are the best in the business and doing only needed work. Post “Keep it simple, stupid” signs all over the place.
It's not just Chevron. IT moved into control systems and all they do is screw things up.
Dont get me started on those f---en workplace breaks. If ur dumb enough not to know when to get up from your desk to have a break you should be back in elementary school!
