Hey all - just wanted to start a thread where we can pool info about layoffs of Wireless Department Managers. This rumor has been around for a while and I wanted to see what info we can gather on the size of the cut as well as locations and timing. I know I am asking for a lot but we can try to give it a roll here...

Paygrade change effects your overall pay. You don't keep it when that changes.
The severance package policy is on the wire and has recently been updated. You can calculate approximately how much your severance would be if you are offered one. Best wishes to all.
I hate to hear this for the associates involved but feel like it is a good move. I think it would be so much better to put them in one of the small openings at the front of the stores ie the arcade cubby with real store hours and contract cell phone workers that all know the correct information to tell all the customers all the time. A lot of mis-information going out overnight to some customers because no one on overnight is trained to give out info etc
Anyone know what the severance entails? Might take the out after almost 9 years as im not sure I see a future with the company anymore.

I was told yesterday 2/12. 60 days to take another position or I’m gone. 15 years there and that’s what they do. $$$ more important than peoples lives

I was told this morning 2/13 that they would keep me on until May, then I would have 60 days after that. So after June I would be out of a job. They did say if there would be severance pay if I can't find a new position. They told me it was because we are a "low volume" store.
