Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

So much for the Amazon scapegoat

Everyone believing the media hype that Amazon is causing retail's demise when Amazon only accounts for around 4% of total retail, and now they're even laying people off.

And how many of our online mattress purchases are returned? The number is astronomical.

No company is safe from layoffs... especially Amazon. A huge company that expanded quickly is sure to have layoffs when they start seeing unproductive results. Not every company that does layoffs is losing money, they just don't want to get to that point.

Also that 4% includes small business, which make up 98% of all business in the country... so 4% is actually very significant number. Most retail companies in America employ less than 50 people.
