Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Toxic leadership at every turn

What is the 1% club doing about our toxic leadership at the director and above levels? It’s quite evident that leadership is now a title and not a quality. My VP doesn’t know who I am, doesn’t know my name and I’m sure doesn’t have any interest in knowing it. Is it localized in DGTC or are the “key talent” people seeing this too? There is plenty of talk about KP, CJ and JK but what are they doing to fix this mess that’s been created?

A question came up in our staff meeting as to why AES has not moved from annual to bi annual or quarterly? The joking response from one of my team members was, “corporate didn’t get the scores they wanted “

Why are we not looking or caring about AES? My Directors AES scores were sub 40’s and that was considered high compared to the VP overall. Why aren’t these leaders being shown the door?

I think our team was reorganized under 4 different VPs last year. In the past I would introduce myself while standing in line at the cafeteria. I don’t have any interest creating new relationships with officers. I’m sure it’s part of their goals and evaluation to drive sg&a efficencies. I’m not sure how HR determines layoffs? In my area, the VP has the ultimate decision. If they don’t like you, they will get rid of you. When the VP changes in your organization. They will be looking to put their finger print on a new structure. They could careless what the work impacts are. The people left over pick up the pieces.
