If you choose to work for Kmart and then do nothing but hope for the company to fail or complain about the company then that says a lot about you and who you are. Kmart might have a lot of problems, but employees who are not loyal and don't do everything in their fiber of being everyday to make this company better are part of it's failure. If every employee did the best job they possibly could with the resources available everyday, then this company would be stronger for it. Some employees do, but the fact is that some have no loyalty. If you don't believe that Kmart is going to be strong again one day then what are you working for them for? A pay check? You can get those almost anywhere. Kmart is a great brand and someday it will be king again, Walmart didn't get to where it is by having employees who hated it and said "Kmart is number one, why bother?"

Kmart is more expensive than Walmart, Kmart has no merchandise while Walmart is fully stocked. I can return things to walmart without a huge hassle. I can check out of walmart with self checkout within 5 minutes versus 10-15 minutes at kmart. Walmart is clean, modern and I can pickup in store within two days. Kmart is dirty, dated and I am still waiting for something I ordered at Christmas to come in-- I am told vendor issues, whatever that means. Ready to cancel my order.
We did and we still lost our jobs.
It is within the reach of Kmart employees to keep the shelves tidy and the floors clean. It is nobody's fault but Kmart employees if the store is dirty.
Because Walmart is somewhat clean, with registers that work, ceilings that aren't about to cave in (remember that's literally happened) and at least somewhat properly staffed?
Loyalty is earned.
Does Kmart deserve the loyalty of its employees?
Allow me to answer that for you: No.
If every employee works their hardest everyday to make this company stronger, it will become a reality. We must encourage people in our daily lives to purchase anything they possible need and can get at Kmart through Kmart. Why should our loved ones spend $3 on something at Walmart when they can get it for the same price at Kmart. If the employees aren't loyal then who will be?
