Hourly Questions

I listened to the hourly module and read the FAQ. I'm wondering if anyone knows specifics on how hourly will change things in terms of metrics? Any talk of going all AD?

Just look at the organizational chart. We are just one rung off the floor. If we were at McDonald's we would be customer facing servers.

But your worries are baseless! just based on an odd sense of entitlement. I agree, the hourly thing is tired and boring. Next!

PHC here, we were always hourly. I used to wish I was salary so that I could take my time to get metrics. I would hear nurses express concern about overtime and think "be careful what you wish for" because that is a part of being salary, you work until it is done. Talk about panic, having one hour left in the day and knowing that it will be close to impossible to make metrics for that day. The reality is that no matter how they adjust metrics, there will be days where you do not make metrics because your day begins and ends when they decide, you no longer get to decide that. Like anything in the workplace, you will adjust and it will be fine, you will share shortcuts with one another and find ways to speed things up, documentation etc.. I know you all have time consuming care plans which is something we fortunately never had to deal with. Quality will suffer of course, but we do what we gotta do to keep our jobs right? Good luck you all, it will be fine, use one another, do not panic :), keep those jobs!

They didn't put it in place. It was an HR decision. Only HR can change exempt/non-exempt status. HAH just has to go with it! Now STOP TALKING ABOUT IT

Why then would they put this huge change in place without having a plan? Why no time studies? Research?

Town Hall answer on this was that it has not been determined yet and they have to look at the member's needs and how are work will be distributed.
