Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Internal Hiring

Does anyone know the stats on % of people impacted that successfully obtain other roles within Humana?

Chances are if you are an RN you won’t even get an interview. As for “being better at your job” that’s just naive. Better to look at your age, salary, whether you use benefits, contribute to your 401k. It’s all about what you cost them. Has nothing to do with talent, work ethic or performance

I'm curious how many people want to stay internal? I want to, but it seems like most of the posts are people saying they just want severance.

I see the troll is out this morning again. You can almost set your watch by it now. Hey troll, is your morning routine to say nasty things on this site while you have your morning coffee or say nasty things while your take your morning poo?

If laid off then certainly not better at your job.

@RIoW75V-3zqz See! It pays to be better at your job.

@RIoW75V-3obz you were one of maybe 2 CHEs who found an internal position after we were laid off. When the rest of us heard you got the position that at least a dozen of us applied for but didn't even get an interview for we were shocked. The rest of us received no help in finding an internal position!

This is literally the most encouraging thing I've seen on this site to date. Thank you for speaking up with your experience.

I hope to stay. The severance sounds nice, but that's not permanent. I need a job. Not a few weeks paid vacation. I'm working with the career navigation people. I hope to god they can help me

I was let go back in August from the CHE role. The Career Naviagort was TREMENDOUSLY helpful, and I obtained a new HGB position within 3 weeks.

Great question. Recruiter I talked to said already swamped with RIF employees. Can’t imagine will get a fair amount of time & effort. That is unacceptable.

This should be SOP, sharing this type of info. Shame on Humana for being remiss. Humana is all about data so there is no way this isn’t being tracked. Speaking of associates obtaining internal positions. These recruiters must be exhausted dealing with Rif employees. How does it make sense to employ ppl that help the people that end up unemployed due to lay offs? I understand recruiters do much more than work with internal Rif but it seems like a waste of money and resources based on the feedback I’ve received. I’ve been told the only advantage is maybe refining resume but otherwise not helpful and wasted precious time and effort.

I asked the recruiter they assigned me and she said she didn't know and didn't think anyone had ever asked that question before

I've asked and have been told different stories. I've been told that number isn't tracked at all and Ive been told that number is confidential by someone else entirely. Obviously they don't want us to know.
