Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

I am in claims and have heard we will be working noon to 9pm when the customer first schedule finally starts. Is this true? SM won't tell us!

Change your life for the customers, not company. Customer 1st schedule based on YOUR sales and no one blanket shift for one job code..... each store has various shifts required for the work needed based on your store only. If service desk does lots of returns from noon to 9 then you process them then to get out if inventory and on hand accurate to generate warehouse order immediately. If 3 openers in your deli now from old schedule system with new one you may have 6 openers to actually do the work needed....make sandwiches, salads, pinwheels, stock sandwiches so shelves not always empty like they are now in most stores from running one hours based system versus merchandise and customer purchase specific to your store,............this has been long over due!

So much for balancing your work n home life huh? Guess as long as Store Managers get there cush schedule of bring off Wednesdays n Sundays n work 7 to 5 nothing else matters n if you want to keep your job you'd better change your life for the Company!

Our store manager is notorious for keeping info to herself until she absolutely has to say something. They expect you to change your entire life in one week. I've worked days for 16 yrs in claims. Now I have to find someone to watch my kids until 9pm and will have very little family time with them. What's worse is there is no sympathy whatsoever regarding this life changing change!

I highly doubt it. Most of the claims/bpm tasks need completed earlier in the day. Of course if your a claims associate and not the supervisor you would not be doing as much of those tasks.
