Cisco is nortorious for being a low pay in the sector. Only people at Cisco think it’s good, because half of them are incapable of getting a job at another tier 1vendor, more likely some Mickey Mouse partner. Good money for chimps, but not good for anyone with half a brain.
Interestingly, Cisco ranks 48 in the list of best companies to work for. Guess, they didn't ask anyone from here :)

Cisco is doing great! Its about to buy back shares at top valuation, just like in late 90's.
All while loosing market share to Arista, Palo Alto and Aruba and depressing the worker bee which is lagging market rate comp. by a factor of 50%.
