Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macy’s isn’t PAYING employees on time or correctly!

OR AT ALL!

My pay has been jacked up for 3 weeks now!

I get b---s--- run around answer from the ignorant call center people. Was told 100’s or more call daily because Macy’s can pay their employees right with their new paycheck program, I’m in California Andy already have a lawyer, guarantee there will be a huge class-act suit!

I am in California In Los Angeles . Got laid off more than a month ago it's already June ,12,2018 I have been nice with them over the phone, showed up in person . They said they mailed my last check weeks ago ! I am beyond mad and frustrated. I already started working on a new job and I'm already gonna get my first paycheck from my new job and from Macy's nothing yet !!!!! They owe me a whole week of work I worked for them a whole 40 hours the last week . That's they paycheck I need . I don't know what to do anymore! I have been nice with them over the phone and in person . I feel like going in there and screaming at them . I told my old manager over the phone couldn't they just send it thru direct deposit like they did with the other checks ? She was like no the last check is gotta be sent . Well like I said it's been more than a month !!!!! Already!!!

Federal laws require employers to establish paydays whether it’s weekly, bi- weekly, monthly etc... and they must pay them by that payday. Do the research.

You have no attorney that has taken this as a case. There will be no class action lawsuit. Even if employees are being paid late, they are still being paid what they are legally owed. There is no basis for a lawsuit. The law does not mandate the frequency that and an employer has to pay you. You are posting foolish gibberish to try and get people riled up. Yeah, they new system has had some kinks and people have been paid late or deposits not made to the correct account, however, you have to prove that employees had ACTUAL LOSSES and the Macy's willfully did it or did it and did not try and correct the issue.

NICE TRY PAL...move on!

I am an AST Supervisor and I’ve submitted about 8 cases where associates haven’t been paid or one time adjustment deductions have been deducted 4 times from this poor woman. No resolution. We keep getting told they were mailed checks. Been weeks and not one person has received a check. It’s horrible. Also every HRBP gives totally different answers to the same questions. I feel bad for these people not being paid. I don’t know what else to do to even help them.

does this have to do with the direct deposits going to a credit union? I have two associates experiencing this, they got a check for the first deposit that didn't go to the credit union and now they are getting all their money put in the other account they had on their direct deposit list. They are getting paid all their money, it's just not the way they wanted it to be paid.
