After this years layoffs wrap up, oracle will Co tongue to either and fade. LE will be almost 75, MH is pushing 65 and there’s no one with any real talent to taje the helm. The products are as feeble as the leaders. Their client server software has been haphazardly morphed into SaaS. As another poster aptly put, this software is nowhere near world-class or enterprise ready. Oracle sales will continue to slip; acquisitions will show up as blips on the sales performance radar screen.
In the next five - 10 years Oracle will simply fade away into nothingness. Big enterprise accounts will slowly Decouple themselves away from Oracle and the DB choosing more modern SaaS products and DB technologies from other vendors. It’s not a question of if, but when. It’s happening now. Slowly, steadily.
