Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Safest places to work in GE

For those reading this website as part of deciding whether to hire in to, or remain in, GE. are there parts of GE that are still safe to call home? Here is how I see it? What do you think?

GE Aviation: Overall healthy, well-managed. Acceptable

GE Healthcare: Overall healthy, well-managed. Acceptable

GE Digital: Total clown car pileup. Rudderless. Very likely to get much smaller as important work returns to businesses. Avoid.

GE Power: Serous case of cancer right now due to mismanagement and poor strategy. Will get much smaller over the next year or two. Avoid.

GE Capital: Suddenly went from useful cash machine to being seriously and maybe mortally wounded by old books of long term care business. Will get much smaller. Avoid.

GE Renewables - More aligned to future, but suffering from GE's macro company mismanagement. Acceptable to work there.

GE Additives - More aligned to future, but suffering from GE's macro company mismanagement. Acceptable to work there.

Why don't you losers use your severance to get an education. No wonder GE has gone down the toilet with the verbal crap you keep spewing out.

Don’t consider Renewables safe as Power leadership will likely s--- it back in under their umbrella of leadership when they can’t find anymore to sell off or cut and will use it as a last resort to cut costs by taking out another HQ.

You do realize most that read these postings are already an employee of one of these divisions. The best is if you are staying for a career at any of these places its best to start looking. If your staying because of pensions, wages, and/or already have high level position my advice is; check the COS for type of roles they are looking for and try to move to one of those type roles.
