I took mine to a lawyer just to play it safe. She said it was very fair (which I thought, so it was nice to get confirmation). She also told me that you can deduct that legal expense on your taxes, so spend the $ and get the peace of mind of knowing one way or the other that you're getting treated well, deduct the cost, then move on with your life.

Save your money. Unless you have some extra special circumstances, like they CVE lured you away from other employment or they truly did not give you credit for your term of employment you will be wasting your money.

This may not be what you want to hear but most people who are very bitter about being terminated want to punish CVE, law suits sounds like good punishment... sounds good but good but unrealistic. You will only be punishing yourself, what little extra you may make will be consumed by the lawyers and the stress of waiting 2 years for possible greater payout is likely not worth it. Go for it if you don't need the money right away and you have a free lawyer in the family.

Why What? Get another look form a lawyer? Cause its a smart thing to do. Possible wrongful dismissal, poor terms, etc
