From Wireline to Wireless and in between vz keeps chopping away at bonuses, overtime and pay. If you invest in your employees, you will get a lot more in return. I've never in my 20 years seen morale so low at Verizon.

Good luck to you. I am retired and the stress is all but gone due to never ending frustration . There are still some solid people left caught in the trap and can't leave yet . I know this company will never be turned around it's too far gone. It will have to be broken up into pieces and resurrected.
Your correct all thats left are yes men and women that have no clue about doing the job,and the upper level vz maneger rule by yhe iron fist and intimidation ,like really is this med-evil times ..vz riffed or forced out the maneger that knew the job..this place has been going to the sh--ty forthe past 10 years,but make sure you attend your performace plus meeting to play with blocks,im a surf the do-do wave until it crashes then i should be eligblie to retire hopefully...lol

I spent 35 years in Bell Atlantic / Verizon . I never had a good manager in all of those 35 years. The point I am making is all Bell Atlantic and Verizon wanted was A$$ kissers and yes men/ women. I constantly challenged directors on their logic. They would never give me a straight answer. They were paid well and were scared of losing that paycheck. The answer in a nutshell. Incompetent leaders who couldnt find their A$$ with two hands yet were dictating procedure .
A list of the few managers I had. A secretary promoted to first and second level in a span of 5 years . Five foot tall with a Napoleon complex but could such the chrome off a bumper . A psychopathic womanizer who hit on everything with a skirt. A splicer promoted to first and second level in four years because he shmoozed a second level female who was as dumb as a barbell and got promoted to second level after a large rif in the early 2000s .
These idiots would then promote A$$ kissers and it never changed. They kept people like me around to actually do the work. Here is to all the skum I had to work for. Fuch ewe!!!
Absolutely no leadership left at Vz(w), their horrid practices have driven out all the good leaders. All that are left are the matrix managers, left behind like they’re stuck in the land of misfit toys. These leftover managers continuously violate the Leadership tenets, creating an absolutely toxic environment. Vz management practices appear to be 20 years behind all of the successful organizations out there. Just like their quest for 90’s internet companies...Vz appears to be decade impaired.
it's unlikely Verizon will win over new customers with its free Netflix offering. Free content doesn't incentivize consumers to switch mobile carriers. Another swing and a miss .

Properly run companies, no matter how big they get, don't operate the way VZ does. The poor managers of this company will ruin it. Look at what has happened to GE. It can and will happen to VZ.
